Careers in metal industries are not generally shown as high-profile industries - this promotional video shows them as an interesting career choice, however. The challenge here was to attract the interest of students in a field that isn’t widely known. Our solution was to draft a scenario they could identify with. Illustrating a series of shots of young people enjoying leisure activities, the video clip pictures them in the near future in which their career in the metal industries will have a significant impact for all of us.
Technical details
This video clip was shot with a 5D photo camera, which has a High Definition sensor of better resolution than standard HD broadcast film cameras, resulting in a quality very close to 35mm film.
After each scene was shot with the actors, the crew filmed the empty set without moving the camera. By superimposing the cut-out image of the actors over the empty set image, the crew was able to create a near-3D effect for the conclusion of the scenes, illustrating the actors projected into their future.
