Regio Stars Awards 2010 – C-Mine
Video
About the video
The 4th edition of the Regio Stars Awards was marked by a major graphic display complete with reworked credits and visual inserts. From a journalistic perspective, we were able to hone our stories by meeting with the final beneficiaries of winning projects. This approach enabled us to get closer to ordinary people and their daily concerns.
Coal as an inspiration
An hour’s drive from Brussels, the city of Genk is doing all it can to ensure its successful redevelopment. This clip offers a journey back to the city’s industrial past up until the closure of the mines and its subsequent transformation into a centre dedicated to creativity. This project was honoured at the 2010 Regio Stars Award in the ‘Innovative use of brownfield sites in an urban context’ category.
