Cohesion policy 2000-2006
Video
About the video
Our teams travelled to three countries in order to understand the concrete achievements of the European Cohesion Policy. Each trip was the subject of a short video clip accompanied by a portrait of the beneficiary.
What have we achieved?
In 2000-2006, the European Regional Development Fund has supported regions through 230 programmes across all Member States investing more than 120 billion euro in their projects. The video shows practical examples of how poorer regions have benefited from EU money: Pablo from Cádiz, Spain, Peter from Poprad, Slovakia, and Michael from Graz, Austria, give examples of how their hometowns have developed thanks to the EU’s cohesion policy projects.
