About the video

This video is one of a series of four made as part of the launch of the EU’s strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The films present projects taking place in Lithuania, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, co financed by the European Commission.

Pride of Place

The Courland Isthmus is one of Lithuania’s most beautiful nature reserves, providing spectacular views of the country’s coast and covering dunes and woodland. European Regional Development Funds are contributing to the park’s survival, helping to pay for training and awareness raising. Dunes and coast line both need to be stabilized as part of a drive to boost tourism and sustainable economic activity to the area.
