DG REGIO’s structural funds aim to boost innovation via different research projects.

European projects aim to foster a strong innovative culture, leading to growth and greater competitiveness. These projects in France and Spain are examples of initiatives boosting growth in European regions. They include, for example, the development of new hybrid welding processes and environmentally-friendly techniques, such as the use of solar panel walls.
